During these times when the government has resorted to extreme measures of subjugating the proliferation of illegal substances, having that second chance is not being offered to everyone. So we can only hope that those lucky few who had chances to live a better life are now doing the best they can.

This is the story of how one man who was seen crying during a news interview for destroying a motorbike has managed to change his way of life. For Adonis Ducot, he definitely did well in making the most out of his second chance.

Adonis first appeared in TV for a wrongdoing he committed. In the news interview, he was seen full of remorse as he cries and pleads for help out of his problematic situation. He asked President Duterte for help because he really wanted to change his life.

During those times, Adonis’ life was full of problems and he fell into depression for losing his job, his family leaving him, and being stuck in vicious illegal vices. Because of all these struggles, Adonis found himself committing the wrongdoing – which he definitely was sorry for.

TheTV news journalist who interviewed Adonis posted his story again this year when she had a chance encounter with him again. According to the reporter, she saw Adonis along the road and remembered he was the one he interviewed before.

“Habang palapit ako sa kanya, medyo nagduda pa ako kung siya nga ba yung na-interview naming suspek noon dahil medyo nag-iba na ang itsura niya. Medyo tumaba at umaliwalas ang mukha niya,” said the news reporter who posted in her Facebook account.

After taking the chance and walking up to him, the reporter asked how Adonis was doing. According to Adonis, the complainant cancelled the complaint against him. And after the whole incident, he decided he wanted to change his life.

Adonis stopped doing all of his illegal activities and dutifully started to sell goods along the street. Even though he did not get a job at the city hall because he was lacking some documents, he still did not forget to thank President Duterte.
