Just this week, a video had gone viral that was applauded by many netizens. It was a video of a doctor who did her “medical magic” to save the life of a young girl. The girl was said to accidentally swallow a coin.
The girl was brought to the emergency room of the hospital and was immediately attended to. Clearly, swallowing a coin is dangerous to the health of anyone for it can lead to choking and can obstruct the passage of the air to the body, and can also cause worse complications to the person.
In the video, the doctor professionally extracted the coin of the young girl’s body without surgery. The video was posted by a Facebook user with a caption: “The kid swallowed a coin.. Just watch how professionally a doctor extracts it, while another hospital might even perform a surgery and empty the parent’s wallet”.
At first, it was seen that the doctor, together with her nurses, prepared the child for the extraction. She put a tube in the child’s mouth to her throat as where the coin is most likely in. As she pulls the tube down the child, she inserted an injection on the other end of the tube to pump and provide air for the child as the extraction is going on.
After assessing if the child has enough air to continue, she took the injection off. The doctor and her nurses bend the child over for it is position suitable got the extraction. She held the mouth open and quickly pulled the tube out of it as it came out with the swallowed coin.
During the whole operation, the child was crying due to her being uncomfortable with the tube and it possibly hurt her. Yet after it, the doctor was happy that the operation was a success with no need for a surgery. She then hugged the child and given her a short and sweet lecture on playing with such objects.
