Kapamilya sweetheart Liza Soberano has once again captivated the hearts of the netizens after she stepped up and took on the newest K-pop dance Challenge “Ddu-ddu Ddu-ddu.”
On Instagram, the “Darna” star and her onscreen partner Enrique Gil stunned their fans as they tried a few dance steps from BlackPink’s international hit song. Apparently, in a video uploaded by one their fans, the rumored couple were seen effortlessly grooving to the upbeat song.
Meanwhile, in a subsequent post, Liza was also made to perform a portion of the pop hit’s choreography on stage along with some of her “Bagani” co-stars.
One netizen lauded her, saying:
“Wag nyo kasi pipilitin si hopie [lizasoberano] na sumayaw ayan tuloy binigay nya ng tudo.”
As expected, the clips uploaded by (at) lizquen304 easily made the rounds online, as it was reposted by several fan pages dedicated to Liza and Enrique, collectively known as “LizQuen.” Netizens were so impressed with Liza’s performances. That some of them requested her to do more dance covers.
As it continues to trend among Filipinos, “Ddu-ddu Ddu-ddu” has become one of the most played songs in local radio stations as well as TV shows. Likewise, the viral dance craze has also reached local showbiz, with the likes of Kapamilya stars Awra Briguela, TNT Boys, and Yassi Pressman showcasing their take on the challenge.
As a matter of record, this is not the first time that Liza Soberano danced to the groove of a popular K-pop song. Last June, the 20-year-old actress briefly danced to Momoland’s hit song “Bboom Bboom” along with Enrique Gil, during an event for a brand that she endorses. This came after a member of the all-girl group, Nancy McDonie has been constantly compared to her as her ultimate look-alike because of their uncanny physical resemblance.
