It was a long time coming, but Lauren Reid has finally followed in the footsteps of her half-brother, James Reid, in showbiz. In July of 2016, the Fil-Australian beauty signed a contract with Viva Entertainment, the same talent agency as Nadine Lustre, Anne Curtis, and Vice Ganda. Prior to her entering the industry, James tagged her sister as the next “It Girl” in an interview.
“I keep pushing her to do it. I want her to do it because I know she can go far.”
And it seems that he was right. Now one of the stars of her generation, Lauren is working her way towards her biggest break yet. From Tagalog lessons to photo shoots and acting workshops, you name it–the 23-year-old wants to have a right to stardom, just like her brother had to go through as a newbie in showbiz.
But her favorite part during this grueling process were the dance classes. Earlier in this month of March, the sister shared a peek of one of her sessions with famed dancing company G-Force. And for someone who has no background in the field, one could say that she’s killing the game! Who knows, maybe she’s the next to open hit variety show “ASAP” with her killer moves next to her bro? Not a bad idea, huh?

Aside from acting and dancing workshops, Lauren also wants to ace her game in television hosting, much like Toni Gonzaga. In an interview with PhilStar, she was quoted as saying:
“I suppose if you wanna be a real artista, you gotta be an all-arounder.”
Right now, Lauren is the face of quite a handful of brands, including Whisper Philippines, Folded & Hung, L’Oreal, Nike Philippines, Locally PH, and LG Philippines.
Well, what more can we say? We can’t wait to see what would come out of Lauren’s journey! Break a leg, girl!
