Jasmine Curtis-Smith is slated to star in her first GMA-7 drama

Jasmine Curtis-Smith was recently introduced as the newest addition to the Kapuso talent roster.

She is slated to make her onscreen comeback in the forthcoming drama, “Ang Pamilyang Roces.” According to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), the actress will top-bill the series with huge names such as Carla Abellana, Rocco Nacino, Christian Bautista, Winwyn Marquez, Mika dela Cruz, and veteran stars Roi Vinzon, Elizabeth Oropesa, and Gloria Diaz.

The cast held a story conference on Wednesday, July 11. Furthermore, this project is solid proof that Jasmine won’t be onscreen love interest of Alden Richards.

We all know that the rumors which circulated earlier this year caused a lot of trouble.

“Yung story ay tungkol sa family, may mga kapatid po ako ditong babae. Tapos, kami pong magkakapatid na babae iba-iba po kami ng mother.”

“Ang Pamilyang Roces” will be helmed by Joel Lamangan, the same director who contrived “Mano Po 8: My Great Love,” “Siphayo,” “Felix Manalo,” and “When I Met U.”

It was in April of this year when Jasmine made her big shift to the network giant official.

She may be Anne Curtis’ younger sister but she’s surely making a name for herself in the ‘biz.

Present during her contract signing were SVP of the Entertainment Content Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Head of Vidanes Artist Management Betchay Vidanes, SVP for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, and none other than the CEO Felipe Gozon.

The Network CEO didn’t end the meaningful contract signing without complimenting the 24-year-old new recruit.

“Mahusay na addition sa ating mga artista na magagaling at magaganda itong si Jasmine.”

Jasmine, on the other hand, expressed her enthusiasm for her future onscreen projects under the new management.

“Of course, you know iba pa rin naman na you’re on TV and you have seryes that people can regularly watch at masuportahan ka nila and to really see you more frequently, kasi napadalas din naman ako more on films.”
