Bela Padilla dismissed rumors that she is a bad influence to young teen star and other half of the MarNigo loveteam, Maris Rascal.
The rumor started when a picture of the two of them circulated online, the picture shows Maris wearing a revealing outfit. Many people were quick to assume that Mariz’s association with Bela has been a bad influence on the young star.
During the presscon of Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino or PPP, Bela dismissed the issue by saying that she doesn’t think it is an appropriate venue to talk about it. She clarified that she has long asnwered the issue, she repeated that she never wanted to infiltrated Mariz’s life and she was just being a friend. |
She related that when they are together, she only gives advice about work, and if Mariz asks for an advice in her personal life that is the only time that Bela gives dish out some personal advice.

“I didn’t seek her out, siya yung lagi namang nagyayaya, so I don’t know where it came from. Ang nabibigay ko lang naman lagi kay Maris is advice sa trabaho, sa buhay niya pag kailangan niya, pero hindi ako nanghihimasok” clarified Bela.
She then changed the topic and proceeded to talk about the film, The Day After Valentine’s where she is once again paired with JC Santos. Her partner in the hit 100 Tula Para Kay Stella, which was included in last year’s PPP roster of films.
Bela said that she is very proud of her film and it inspires her that JC is giving his all when it comes to characterizations and is really giving his best in their scenes. She is also happy to be part again of PPP for this year. For her it feels like a homecoming, and seeing new faces and artists join in is really refreshing. She also relates that she hope Viva Films would continue to give her projects like these, as she knows that quality films are screened in PPP.
