One of the downsides of being a celebrity is that there are always hypocritical people who always look for the negative in everything they do. This includes getting hateful messages from strangers criticizing every aspect of your life. Usually, celebrities brush them off and focus on more important things like showing gratitude to their fans. However, comedian Pokwang spoke up after one her haters got a little bit too personal.
Just recently, an Instagram user posted a hurtful comment on one of the photos on the comedian’s Instagram account. The user pointed out that her American live-in partner Lee O’Brian does not do anything to provide for their family and called him “palamunin.”
Furious, Pokwang couldn’t help but retaliate to the netizen’s mean comment. “Ano problema mo? ikaw ba nagpapalamon? kung wala kang kaligayahan sa buhay, sa impierno ka pumunta,” she posted.
The comedian further said that many people quickly judge celebrities who talk back to their haters as if they are not allowed to express their feelings. She then added that she’s only human, hence her reaction.
Pokwang said in another comment that unlike her hater, she does not measure love through money. “Ikaw ang kawawa kasi patay gutom ka sa pera, pero wala kang pagmamahal na tunay dyan sa puso mo kung meron man,” she added.
The same Instagram user also posted a comment on her daughter Malia’s page. The comedian sent of her hater by telling her to be ashamed of her behavior.
As part of her reaction to the incident, Pokwang shared a throwback photo of her and Lee on one of her Instagram accounts. In the captions, she wrote that there are people who get unhappy of other people’s successes. She added that these things aren’t important as long as she knows that she and her family are happy and well.
