The summer heat has arrived and families are gearing up to enjoy every bit of the season. Some have prepared their inflatable pools while there are those who decided to get their hands dirty with a summer project. A man, only known as Redditor goclemsontigers99, made a DIY backyard grill and kitchen that impressed everyone!
This Reddit user and his wife saw that their patio was quite empty, feeling there was a lot of room for improvement. So, without any experience in construction, they decided to create a backyard kitchen and grill.
The couple researched and planned the whole project for weeks to ensure that they wouldn’t mess up and waste money. The first step was to create a wooden U-Frame that will serve as the base of the kitchen.
Once it was stable, he added the wooden foundation of a bar, with a sturdy footrest at the side. Next up, the netizen placed a concrete material named “Durock” – that was used to stabilize the tiles that they would be using.
The Redditor carved some holes in the concrete sheets to make way for the grill and an ice chest. In no time at all, things were starting to look like a very polished outdoor kitchen. The addition to the grill, dark tiles, steel doors, drawers, and even a smoker egg perfectly finished the incredible project.
It was no surprise that everyone who saw the man’s creation were envious of the end product. Despite being an amateur, he was able to construct a kitchen that seemed professionally built.
We would certainly pay a lot if he did our backyard next.
What can you say about this man’s DIY creation? Are you convinced that this outdoor kitchen/grill was the first time he’s done a project like this? Share your thoughts, reactions, and opinions in the comments section below!
